THE CUSTOMER AND THEIR REQUIREMENTS
Epworth Eastern Hospital is a private hospital situated in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. It is Victoria’s largest not-for-profit private hospital group, renowned for excellence in diagnosis, treatment, care and rehabilitation.
Why Air Link Systems?
Epworth Eastern Hospital underwent and expansion (new Tower Block) and required the existing Pneumatic Tube System to be expanded to within the new tower block. Air Link Systems were the successful tenders for the Pneumatic Tube package.
The Solution
The solution was to remove the existing Pneumatic Tube System and install a new Hanter IT Pneumatic Tube System, then extend into the new Tower Block.
This was completed all during the COVID-19 pandemic but was a great success for Air Link Systems. With some later staging works still being completed and future staged works (Emergency department) to be implemented this project remains ongoing.
The Impact
The Impact is that the existing aging Pneumatic Tube System was replaced with a new Hanter IT Pneumatic Tube System and extended to the new Tower Block to provide a more efficient and reliable Pneumatic Tube System with improved features to operate with the Epworth facility for decades to come.
